Kinshuk Mahajan feels with Afsar Bitiya... he has garnered quite a lot of male fan following

Kinshuk Mahajan, who essays the lead role of Pintoo Singh in Zee TV and Village Boy Productions’ Afsar Bitiya, is happy being the support pillar to Krishna (Mitali Nag) in the show. Kinshuk who has till now done romantically inclined roles in both Bidaai and Chand Chupa Badal Mein is of the opinion that Afsar Bitiya is an inspirational show. Talking about his views on the show and his role, Kinshuk tells Tellychakkar.com, “I know that Afsar Bitiya does not have extreme levels of romance when compared to my other shows. The story here is about a girl who has invested all her life to studies. So she is not at all romantically inclined. But the plus point here is that the show provides inspiration to the kids and teenagers to study well and opt for a good profession.” Ask him if he is not disappointed to play second fiddle to Afsar Bitiya i.e. Krishna in the show and Kinshuk is quick to say, “See Afsar Bitiya is the story of Krishna who becomes a BDO and her journey thereafter. Pintoo is Krishna’s husband who is her pillar of strength. Obviously I cannot be shown in the office, but when the sequences at home are shown Pintoo is always there. So I am happy with my role.” And the biggest benefit I have got as an actor by doing Afsar Bitiya is that I have garnered a lot of male fan following. “In Bidaai and Chand Chupa Badal Mein, I got a huge female fan following. But with the popularity of Afsar Bitiya, I have been appreciated by the counterpart. I have had instances where autowallahs and many men have come up to me and patted my back,” states Kinshuk. Remind him of the rumour that floated of late about Parul Chauhan replacing Mitali Nag and Kinshuk replies with a grin on his face, “I really do not know how this rumour spread. In fact, we ourselves did not know what is going to happen, but had a hint that something big is awaiting us. That was the time when the Parul news came along, and Parul had called me to ask about the buzz as she was not at all offered the show. It was really funny the way media created a buzz about Kinshuk and Parul getting back.” Moving on, Kinshuk confided in us that his fans always feel that he chooses roles where the female protagonist is dark. Kinshuk clarified this saying, “See, firstly I cannot choose the main lead in my show. And Afsar Bitiya has no similarity whatsoever with Bidaai. When I choose a particular show, I go by the concept and story line. If that interests me then I opt for the it.” Well said, Kinshuk!!
