MUMBAI: After Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and others, Deepika Padukone's name has now emerged in the drug case. The Narcotics Control Bureau is on its toes investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The investigation has led to the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty for reportedly procuring drugs for her late boyfriend Sushant Singh. Now, names of many A-list actors who supposedly consume drugs are coming to light and Deepika Padukone is one of them.
Deepika’s WhatsApp chats with manager Karishma Prakash allegedly talking about drugs in the year 2017 have been accessed by Times Now. Post the report created a stir on social media, the Bollywood actress is expected to release a statement soon.

According to Republic, it has been revealed that Deepika Padukone will soon share an official statement giving out her stand on the same. It has been further reported that the Narcotics Control Bureau is expected to summon Deepika sometime this week for questioning. Her manager Karishma Prakash has reportedly been summoned by the NCB for questioning.
In the chats that have come to light, Deepika Padukone, reportedly, asked for 'maal' from Karishma. She later reportedly also clarified that by 'maal' she meant hash and not weed.
