MUMBAI: Having started his career with Punjabi videos, Angad Hasija is back to his hometown Chandigarh after 15 years to star in a Punjabi show. Playing the character of JD in Tera Rang Chadiya, Angad is seen in a very different avtaar. Last week the show was ranked on number one. Speaking more about that Angad says,” I am very happy the way people have accepted my character JD. People are loving the show and that’s the reason it has topped the chart. As an actor the biggest satisfaction is when you are being called by your screen name. During Bidaai I was called as Alekh and then later on Shankar from Phulwa and Chandar from Waaris - I have always been called by my screen names. I have put in a lot of hard work while in Punjab for this show. JD is a superstar in the show so lot of work has gone into my diction and body language. That's paying off now. As an actor, I have never worked for ratings, if your show is good and your performance is well received by the audience you have achieved something. But at the same time being at the top means being more responsible and focused towards your craft.” He also adds,” There is so much good content being made in Punjabi language. I have started my career from Punjab. I started doing music videos, fashion shows there and used to visit Mumbai to take part in fashion shows and would represent Punjab. It was on my wishlist to make my debut in Punjabi TV shows or films. I am happy I am living my dream through this show.”
Before this Angad’s last web series Ishq Aaj Kal was also appreciated a lot where he played a businessman Arshad Ali Khan.
