Since the movie Band Baaja Baarat clicked at the box office, every other filmmaker wants to sign Anushka (Sharma) and Ranvir (Kapoor) to act together or in solo.
The latest filmmaker to get smitten by the pair is Anurag Kashyap who just released the second part of his crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur.
While it is already known that Ranbir Kapoor has been signed by Anurag to play the lead in his film Bombay Velvet, it has just been announced that Anushka will feature as the female lead in the same film.

The latest filmmaker to get smitten by the pair is Anurag Kashyap who just released the second part of his crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur.
While it is already known that Ranbir Kapoor has been signed by Anurag to play the lead in his film Bombay Velvet, it has just been announced that Anushka will feature as the female lead in the same film.
When inquired to divulge about the film, Anushka smilingly averred, “I can't talk anything right now; the announcement will come at the right time.”
It is being widely rumoured that Ranbir recommended Anushka's name for Bombay Velvet, a film based on Mumbai Fables, a semi-fictional study of Bombay in 1960s by eminent historian and Princeton University's history professor Gyan Prakash.
Incidentally, Anushka will also be seen romancing Aamir Khan in Raju Hirani's Peekay, which will be the first time that she will star opposite Mr Perfectionist. She will also be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and the Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif yet untitled film directed by Yash Chopra.
