Abhay Season 2 review: This thriller rises above the previous season

Here is the review of the complete season of Abhay 2.

MUMBAI: When it comes to thrillers, ZEE5 has given us the finest ones we have ever seen. One of them is web series Abhay. After a successful run of season 1, the makers are now back with season 2, which is more gripping and thrilling. This time around, the challenges faced by Abhay Pratap Singh are more complex. He is all set to save the people around him by destroying evil.

Directed by Ken Ghosh, this 8-episode series stars Kunal Khemu, Asha Negi, Ram Kapoor, Nidhi Singh, Chunky Pandey, Raghav Juyal, Asheema Vadaan, Bidita Bag, and a few others.

Every episode deals with different cases, with a parallel story running in background. Abhay Pratap Singh has to deal with a kidnapper who is making him do a few tasks in return for which he will help Abhay in some other case. Little does Abhay know that things will not go as per his plan. How the situation changes and how he will deal with all this is worth watching.

The main backbone of the series is the screenplay. It is gripping and strong, and as a viewer, we will not get bored for a single second. The direction is brilliant, and the dark locations were covered very well in the series.

Talking about the performances, Asha Negi was decent as the news reporter. Nidhi Singh has delivered one of her best performances as the investigating officer. Chunky Pandey, Raghav Juyal, Asheema Vadaan, and Bidita Bag have given jaw-dropping performances. Ram Kapoor stands out as the bad man. Our hero Abhay, played by Kunal Khemu, was too good in this series. It is a treat to watch the actor on screen.

The negative points are the slightly dipping screenplay in episodes 6, 7, and 8, but the writing saves the plot.

Well, overall, the series is completely worth your time, and if you have enjoyed season 1, this one is definitely for you.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 3.5 stars for Abhay 2.
