I was approached to play Gehna in Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2: Mazel Vyas

MUMBAI: Star Plus show Saath Nibhana Saathiya recently gained momentum because of the viral video by music composer Yashraj Mukhate, and only a few days later, TellyChakkar.com broke the news about the show coming back with a second installment.

A promo featuring Devoleena Bhattacharjee as Gopi Bahu also flashed wherein she informed the audience about the new female protagonist of the show named ‘Gehna’

Well, actress Mazel Vyas was approached to play Gehna in Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2.

TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Mazel Vyas who played the character of Meera in the show. She said, “I am very happy that the show has gained so much popularity. I would like to share that I was approached to play the character of Gehna in the show.”

We asked the gorgeous actress as to why she did not accept the offer. The actress showed her maturity by saying, “Firstly, there were already a few projects in the pipeline. Secondly, I am only seventeen years of age, and in daily soaps, the story further develops into a romantic angle and that wouldn’t suit me as I felt I’m too young for that role. I communicated the same to the producer over a video call and they too understood my point. I would be glad to be associated with Rashmi Sharma Productions in the future as I’ve received a lot of fame because of my character in the show.”
