A few GECs will be seen celebrating Independence Day today (15 August 2012). Here, we get you a list of the shows you can look for.
On top of the list is Life OK. Talking about Independence Day celebrations, the channel has been celebrating this day since 12 August as part of Aazadi Ka Jashn. The first celebration was by way of performances by Riddhi Dogra and Mika Singh.
Mika was seen singing songs for army officers of our country. The next day (13 August) saw the airing of two telefilms based on patriotism. On 14 August, the channel had Neha Dhupia talking to the officers on the LOC.
Today, one will see the main event where the leads of the channel’s programmes will be seen performing. The final event will be aired from 5 to 8 pm just like its other shows that were earlier run under the banner of Aazadi Ka Jashn.
On the other hand, Star Plus will air a special episode of Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate at 11 am. Colors will have Comedy Ka Jashn at 1 pm where the audience will get to see a lot of acts and dance performances. Sahara One will have run a one hour programme of patriotic songs on its new show Yaadon Aur Chahaton Ke Darmiyaan.
While Zee TV will have a special episode on Rab Se Sona Ishq, which will bring in a patriotic angle in the story, Sony and SAB TV have kept themselves out of the Independence Day celebration as they will have the usual run of shows.
