MUMBAI: Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married on December 11, 2017. The much loved couple kept their wedding a big secret and had gone to the extent of using fake names while organizing the wedding. During a recent chat with Football star Sunil Chhetri, Virat had admitted that it was true they used fake names, but also stated that it was not his idea. Virat revealed that all the guests were also informed to keep things discreet.
Virat Kohli had also revealed that he had never formally proposed to Anushka Sharma, as they never felt the need for it and organically things went on. He had stated that they knew they were going to marry each other and were super excited to start life together. Post the wedding, Anushka and Virat had shared on social media, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli announced in August this year that they are expecting a baby. “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021,” the couple had announced through a social media post.
