YRF's Maneesh Sharma-helmed film postponed

The launch of Yash Raj Films’ Maneesh Sharma directed untitled film has been postponed. The film was originally scheduled to go on floor this September. The decision was taken by Maneesh and Jaideep Sahni along with Aditya Chopra. The unfortunate fallout of this is that Shahid Kapoor, who was to play the lead, has had to pull out of the project because of his other commitments. With three other back-to-back projects, Shahid was not able to readjust his dates to accommodate the revised schedule. Speaking on the development, the director said, “It is sad that Shahid has understandably had to opt out because of this delay given his packed schedule going forward.” While this development is a pity, YRF looks forward to working with Shahid Kapoor on another project being discussed with him for next year.
