Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol 6 has got its winner in the 21 year old Vipul Mehta from Amritsar. Vipul has been impressive from Round One and has got praised by all the judges.
The Grand Finale of Indian Idol was studded with celebrities. Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra came in to promote their upcoming flick Barfee, while Madhur Bhandarkar and Kareena Kapoor promoted their upcoming movie Heroine on the big platform of Idol. Ileana DCruz was also seen gracing the finale.

The three finalists Vipul Mehta, Devendra Pal and Amit Kumar sung medley of numbers starring Kareena Kapoor. A medley of songs of Ranbir Kapoor was also sung.
Vipul was ecstatic on hearing the result that was declared by Kareena Kapoor. He gets a cash prize of 50 lakhs and a music album contract. He also gets to be the owner of the Nisaan Micra and Suzuki Hayate bike.
