Balaji Telefilms’ Kasamh Se received the best continuing daily award at the 8th Indian Telly Award . While the show is expected to last further, there’s a huge question whether lead actor Ram Kapoor will be part of it. If sources are to be believed, the actor has made his mind to opt out of the show.
An actor on condition of anonymity says, “What I’ve learned is that he has already given a one month notice to Ekta. The reason is still not clear as to why he’s taken such a step. Apparently, he’s not happy with the introduction of so many characters. May be he’s feeling a bit insecure. He doesn’t feel comfortable working with other actors on the show. Ekta and Shobha Kapoor are trying hard to convince him. “
We sent a SMS to both Ram and Ekta Kapoor but there was no reply from them.
Refuting claims that Ram is quitting the show, a source from Balaji says, “Ram is not at all quitting the show nor have we received any notice from him. It’s just that his existing contract has expired and is up for renewal. In the coming days, we’ll be holding talks with him and are sure that he will continue to work with us.”
When asked whether the core issue here is money, our source from Balaji replied, “Well, that’s one of them. As I told you before, we’re confident that this matter will be sorted out.”
Zee TV business head Tarun Mehra said that he had no idea on this news.
