We have heard stories of lead pairs on television being friends, very good friends, being in love and some even getting married. However, here we have a very different pair. Keerti Nagpure and Samir Soni, better known as Siddhi and Kunal of Colors’ Parichay (Balaji Telefilms) share a different relationship. Their rapport is more like that of a teacher and a student. Strange, isn’t it? But it’s true!! Get to know for yourself through our story here at Tellychakkar.com. Keerti not only calls Samir ‘sir’ but she also looks up to him as a teacher. Initially, when she had joined the cast of Parichay the actress was uncomfortable, with an actor of the caliber of Samir being around. Says Keerti, “When I bagged the show I knew that my character would get married to Samir’s character Kunal. And I was nervous to act with him as I knew that he was a very big star while I was just a newcomer. In fact, I was very uncomfortable acting with him initially.” However, it’s not the same now as she says, “I did not gain confidence over a day. It was slowly and gradually that I became comfortable doing scenes with Samir sir. And it was he who helped me a lot. He has always tried to make me feel comfortable in every scene we do together.” Keerti even misses Samir when he is not on the sets. “I have just got too used to him. That is why when he is not around, I miss him.” Samir too confirmed the same while he said, “Initially, Keerti was uncomfortable doing scenes with me and I could see that when we shot intimate scenes. Hence, I tried explaining things to her and we used to joke too. I used to pacify her that I am equally scared while doing the romantic scenes as I am married and my wife would beat me up if I do anything wrong (smiles). That’s part of an actor’s job to make his co-actor comfortable on the sets.” Well, this is what we call an ideal Guru-Shishya relationship!
