Munmun Dutta, who plays the role of Babita in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV, gets candid with Tellychakkar.com sharing her personal and professional life. Excerpts: “I would like to say that I am very happy being a part of Taarak Mehta and feel this is one of the best serials ever. I have seen so many of my friends working in daily soaps, but they fail to interact with their respective co-stars, but in Taarak…, even if we have a night shoot, the night passes off very easily because everyone is very cordial and the set looks like a home to us”. “Talking about my future plans, I am open to do more television shows but my biggest wish and dream is to do a dance reality show like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Many of those who took part in this season of the show are my good friends. I would even love to get into some daily shows but my main aim is getting into movies. Well, I am a very outspoken girl and plan things. But at times, it doesn’t go the way as planned. It may so happen that sometime, I will tell you that I am planning something but eventually it may not happen. Hence, I refrain from talking anything about the future.” When asked about her personal life, Munmun says, “I am committed from the last eight years. Though he is from Mumbai, but certainly not from the entertainment industry. Well, all I can say about my marriage plans is that it’s all left on my decision, because he is of the opinion that it can happen whenever I want to. It can even be tomorrow,” she giggles. What would have she been if not an actor? “Everyone knows that I am one of those who actually fulfilled my dreams of becoming an actor failing which I would have been a doctor.” In closing, Munmun says that one day she might go to London to pursue some course. “Furthermore, my plans for the next five years are to have a bigger house, a better car and some films in my kitty.” All the best, Munmum!!!
