Hot and sexy Madhura Naik has hogged all the limelight recently for her affair stories with TV heartthrob Karan Kundra (host of Channel V’s Gumrah). Without digging into it, we decided to talk to Madhura and ask about her style statement. And folks…she has a rocking sense of fashion. Excerpts from an interview with her… Fashion is: Fashion for me is to wear something which is simple, elegant and comfortable. Who chooses your clothes? I choose my own clothes. Do you wear accessories? I don’t like to overdo with accessories. If I am wearing a watch then I will go with it and not wear other heavy stuffs. But a watch is a must and my favourite brands are Baume & Mercier and Michael Kors. Do you follow any brands? I am big time brand conscious. My favourite brands are Bebe, Gucci, Prada, Zara and Mango. Favourite shopping destination: Paris and Singapore. Most expensive buy: My Baume & Mercier watch which cost me Rs 5 Lakh. Clothes you are comfortable in: I like wearing sandos and shorts. I prefer something which is loose. Favorite designer: Manish Malhotra. Must-have in your wallet: Apart from credit cards and money, I always keep my family picture in my wallet. Favourite perfume: Carolina Herrera 212. Colour that fills your wardrobe: It’s one and only black. It’s an all time classic colour. Describe “Sale” in one word: ‘Steal’. The moment my favourite brands go on sale I see to it I shop and make a best use out of it. Currently your wardrobe is over-flowing with: With evening flowy dresses. You have hardest time getting dressed for: I have hardest time getting dressed for a wedding. I take time to get dressed in Indian clothes. Any fashion disaster you have come across recently: I can’t mention precisely but I come across too many fashion disasters. I hate it when girls wear skimpy and vulgar clothes. And they also wear an artificial nylon wig on it which is so obvious and tacky. If you had to choose a fashion era, which period will it be: It should be the vintage era. Then, style was so elegant and classy. They paired up their dresses with corset and stockings. I also like Classic rock age where they used to wear jeans, jackets and boots.
