MUMBAI: After being launched in Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year' in 2012, Sidharth Malhotra went on to prove his mettle with films like Ek Villain, Kapoor & Sons, Aiyaary. On the actor's birthday today, we take a look at some of his highest-earning films.
'Ek Villain' (Rs 97.51 crore)

Sidharth had to shed his cute boy-next-door image for his turn as the brooding lead man of this film and he pulled it off effortlessly. The Mohit Suri directorial, which also featured Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, turned out to be a money-spinner, raking in a total of Rs 97.51 crore.
Brothers' (Rs 70.65 crore)

Right after the success of 'Ek Villain', Sidharth teamed up with Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez to deliver another hit. It couldn't have been easy getting his moves right for the boxing film but Sid made it look like he did it for a living. Meanwhile, the film registered a business of Rs 70.65 crore in the domestic circuit.
Kapoor & Sons' (Rs 69.37 crore)

After winning over the audience with their chemistry in 'Student Of The Year', Sid and Alia came together for Shakun Batra's 'Kapoor & Sons', which saw Sid tackle family dynamics. The film minted Rs 69.37 crore at the ticket windows.

Student Of The Year' (Rs 62.94 crore)

Sidharth made his Bollywood debut with 'Student Of The Year' which was also the launch vehicle for Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The coming-of-age-drama was an instant hit and clocked in Rs 62.94 crore.
Marjaavaan' (Rs 45.57 crore)

In Milap Zaveri's 'Marjaavaan' that also featured Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh, Sidharth showed off his action chops. And while the action-drama opened to mixed reviews, it managed to post a decent total of Rs 45.57 crore.
