MUMBAI: Ishqbaaaz fame Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee have been on cloud nine ever since they embraced parenthood, and welcomed their first child on February 3, 2020.
Jaankee delivered a baby boy and proud dad Nakuul Mehta broke the amazing news through his social media post.
Now, a few days after their child’s birth, Nakuul and Jankee have excitedly revealed the baby’s name and announced the same through social media posts.
Nakuul Mehta took to his Instagram account and shared some lovely pictures with his wife. In between them, we can see a bunch of colourful balloons, tied to which are a few lettered- balloons, revealing the baby’s name- ‘Sufi’.
Meanwhile, Jankee also shared a video of the same and both Nakuul and Jankee wrote similar captions, explaining the significance of baby Sufi’s name and when they decided on the name.

They revealed that they had decided they would name their baby ‘Sufi’ when Jankee was 3 months pregnant. They chose a gender-neutral name and had already planned they would name their child ‘Sufi’, irrespective of the gender.
Nakul's IG post's caption read, “ ‘Sufi’, a name that we decided when we were 3 months pregnant for our to-be firstborn, irrespective of the gender. Sufi symbolises spirituality, art, philosophy, literature, soul, song, and everything that we stand for & beyond.”.
The caption further read, “From the time you were born, you have filled up our lives and hearts with so much love and if I'm allowed to customise this caption dictated by the Missus, sleepless nights ..@babysufim.”.
