MUMBAI: One of the most loved Bollywood movies of all time is, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Be it the heart-tugging performances by each actor or be it the well-rounded arcs of the characters that they played; the film is a gift that keeps giving with every watch. And do you know? a new ZNMD is on the charts and this time with female protagonists who will do all the soul-searching. Yes, talks with a female cast has been on for a while now, but it seems like we finally have a draft, a change in chair and a leading lady!
Firstly, Farhan Akhtar who played the part of Imran in one of his career-best performances is coming back and not as an actor but as a director. Akhtar who wears multiples hats is getting back to the director’s chair for a story that he is developed with sister Zoya Akhtar. As per sources, the actor/producer/filmmaker is planning to make a female version of ZNMD that featured Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin and himself.

As per reports, While Farhan acted in ZNMD, this time around, he will be directing this yet untitled film. It is written by him and Zoya, and though the concept of road trip remains the same, the narrative is diametrically different from what they did in the 2011 film. They have locked on the broad idea of this story through the lockdown.
However, the interesting part is that Alia Bhatt is reportedly coming on-board the crazy ride. While the other two roles are still being deliberated at least we have a head start. “He has discussed the probable collaboration with Alia and she is definitely excited to come on board the film. More meetings will take place through the year, and everyone is optimistic on this association to work out.
Apart from Alia, two more A-list actresses will join the gang, however, they are yet to decide on the names. Hence, they have mutually decided to collaborate on the film in 2022. Exact timelines of shoot will be known towards the end of year.
