Jay Soni "has a superb equation" with Ragini Khanna

Jay Soni was seen having a great time with Sasural Genda Phool co-star Ragini Khanna at a recent TV event. Hence we asked him about his equation with her. “Superb, she is more like a guy; it was great fun working with her in the above Star Plus show.” So how did you enact those romantic scenes? “Yaar… it was tough, we would burst out laughing and would tell our director sir woh feeling nahi ati. But then we were reminded that we are actors and it our job to bring those husband wife emotions on screen.” Shifting gear to his career Jay shared that he is now on well deserved break after Sasural wrapped up earlier this year. “These days shelf life of projects is much less and I don’t want to do something just for three-four months. Plus I always believe that it is important to give yourself some gap between projects to maintain your freshness.” In the mean time, Jay is keeping himself busy by doing events and going to the gym to build his body. Talking about his fitness routine, he said, “I do lots of heavy duty stuff, but my aim is to build 6/8 packs, for women today don’t like bulky men rather they prefer lean mean guys.” Apart from fiction, Jay who had earlier hosted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champ' is game for more hosting. “As for contesting I would not mind Khatron Ke Khiladi or Nach Baliye. But the latter is out of the question as I am single.” He is also not in favour of creating a false baliye, just to take part in the show. “I don’t like to lie on national television.” Ask him about his Sasural journey and his face lifts up. “Those were the best years of my life.
