MUMBAI: Actress Renee Dhyani, who was last seen as the antagonist in Yeh Teri Galiyan, which ended in February last year, is all set to join the cast of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. The show features Vijayendra Kumeria of Udann fame and Richa Rathore as the lead couple. Renee will play the antagonist.
While she remained unavailable for comment, a source associated with the show informed, “We are all set to introduce a new twist in the storyline and needed a strong performer to play the part of the antagonist. We have roped in Renee Dhyani to essay Vijayendra’s sister in the show. She is expected to commence the shoot in a day or two.”

The actress was in news some time ago after she opened up about her battle with depression following her break-up with her Kasam - Tere Pyaar Ki co-actor, Lalit Bisht. She had then told us, “Initially, I couldn’t understand what was happening to me. I would suddenly break into tears, throw things around and shout loudly. I was not mentally healthy, and was also harming myself.”
She had added, “I have been battling depression for a year now. It also led to facial paralysis. The left side of my face was affected and I lost confidence. For an actor, her face is the tool of expression. I would cover my left profile with my hair and stopped attending events. I also started avoiding scenes where I had to shout. I was constantly doing rounds of hospitals and was even admitted several times. The team of the show would call doctors, who would give me injections and I would be able to shoot only after that. I was also dealing with hypertension syndrome and PCOD. In fact, there have been times when I had to call a doctor at home in the middle of the night to attend to my health woes. My team was considerate enough to let me take it easy. I haven’t recovered completely, as I still experience twitching on my face while talking.”

She had said that her failing relationship triggered an emotional upheaval, which resulted in multiple health issues. The actress finally decided to get a grip on herself and called it quits with her beau.
Renee has also featured in the eighth edition of Bigg Boss.
