MUMBAI: Amar Upadhyay is the latest actor to have tested positive for COVID-19. The actor tested positive for coronavirus around five-six days ago and has self-quarantined at home. As a result, the track in his TV show Molkki has been postponed for a while.
Talking to us, Amar said, “I am asymptomatic and don't have any cough, cold or fever. I am so full of energy that I can walk up the wall and down (laughs!). I was so happy shooting that sitting at home in isolation feels like punishment. I have been shooting continuously since the past few months. Molkki was keeping me busy and I was also shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Despite taking all safety precautions, I don’t know how I got the virus.”.
He added, “After staying at home during the lockdown last year, I am happy to have bagged some interesting projects. We had an exciting track coming up and I was all geared up for it. Now, I will have to sit at home and do nothing for 14 days. I am hoping that my reports come back negative soon so that I can get back to work.”.
So, how does he spend time during this unplanned break? “I stay in my room and watch television. After resting so much last year, I don’t feel like resting now (laughs!). I am eating food on time and hoping that I recover soon and get back to my normal routine. The pandemic has been tough on all of us, but people have to work and earn their bread and butter. How long can we sit at home? I am hoping that things improve and the pandemic disappears from our lives.”, he said.
On asking Amar about his co-actor Priyal Mahajan also testing positive, he said, “Yes, Priyal has also quarantined herself at home. I am hoping that she also recovers soon, so that we can resume shooting.”.
