MUMBAI: Karishma Tanna is an Indian film, television actress, model and an anchor who predominantly works in Hindi films and shows.
Tanna was born and brought up in a Gujarati family and a pretty versatile actress and a fashionista.
She debuted before the small-screen with the most-popular Hindi soap under the Balaji Telefilms' banner - Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2001, by playing the role of Indu. Simultaneously, she appeared in another Balaji Telefilms' drama production Kahi To Milenge.
For the first time, she played the role of a negative character named Ayesha for the TV program Ek Ladki Anjaani Si and was critically acclaimed for her performance's delivery.
In 2007, she was a part of the stage-based comedy TV series Comedy Circus.
Tanna even worked in Bollywood by marking her debut with the film Dosti: Friends Forever in December 2005 and played the role of Nandini Thapar. In 2018, her sensuous role as Pinky in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Bollywood blockbuster movie Sanju added on to her filmography's reputation.
Despite participating in various reality and game shows, Karishma Tanna had participated in Zara Nachke Dikha (2008) in the winning team. She was a prominent contestant and the first runner-up of the Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show Bigg Boss 8 in 2014. She also went on to emerge as the winner of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 in 2020.
In 2018, Karishma bagged Ekta Kapoor's Qayamat Ki Raat, wherein she got to play the prominent lead role of Gauri and turned a household fame after a big break.
