MUMBAI: In the recent set of developments, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai actress Ashi Singh has been roped in to play Jasmine's role in the fantasy TV series Aladdin..., thus, replacing actress Avneet Kaur, who originally portrayed Jasmine's former role for the show.
Being absolutely new in the fictional field, actress Ashi had to undergo extreme challenges both at the personal and professional front to master the warrior princess Jasmine's power-packed action-sequences as the huge responsibility of living up to Avneet's former performance as the warrior princess was now on her shoulders.
In a recent interview, both the lead stars of the said show - Siddharth Nigam and Ashi Singh were quizzed on various issues, be it their on-screen chemistry, off-screen bonding, each other's good and bad traits and the challenges faced while executing their roles' performance or replacing their roles' former actors.
On being asked about the 'secret' behind their on-screen chemistry (which they have developed in such a brief time span), Ashi owned up that owing to their natural friendship in real life, they could make their chemistry work on-screen in no time.
Siddharth expressed the importance of an individual being 'real' in their own life as staying fake or unreal never really helps to develop a true bonding amongst individuals. She revealed that Ashi is very real when it comes to expressing her real emotions or opinions regarding anything and as an artiste himself, he too follows what he feels by expressing his opinions on something before his co-stars and helping to rectify the issue collectively, instead of placing things forth in a twisted state, which further complicates a situation.

Talking about the same, Sid revealed that at times, shift in mood causes a communication gap amid two people in any setup. For instance, when he gets dead serious about his script or while executing an action-sequence, he fails to attend to any other distractions in his surrounding. Adding to the same, he informed that on observing him dwelling into a particular situation, Ashi would smartly react to the same by prioritising the situation's call. On seeing him performing a stunt or an action sequence, she would wait and allow him to finish his part first and thenafter, share her issue with him once he's done with his schedule. Hence, he feels that that level of inter-personal understanding amid two people regarding each other's mood-offs or the nature of bonding itself, helps cultivate the natural bond organically.
Talking about elevating this bonding to the professional level, he expressed that his personal level bonding with Ashi and vice-versa helped them identify each other's improvisations in terms of performance, which can help elevate the other individual's improvisation as well.
Talking about the external binding stimulus or factor that helped their bonding, Ashi expressed transparency as their primary means of bonding, owing to which, they gel well on the basis of their common traits and simultaneously, mutually start gossiping about the people around them. Siddharth clarified that it is Ashi who initiates the gossips and owned up that it did help strengthening their bonding as well. At times, she speaks a lot, such that he feels like shutting up for sometime while blatantly listening to her endless chats. At times, they even lose the track of time while gossiping, such that their talks can extend upto 5 days straight.
Ashi revealed on this note that they often don't even remember the core topic of their prolonged discussions as the focus keeps randomly changing from one element to another.
Sid reveals that they gossip on totally irrelevant topics like how are bottles made, about the people on the sets, the traits of any particular individual of concern; to which, Ashi added that they talk about the same topic in various ways possible, so that it sounds varied and fresh to keep tickling their interests and curiosity.
Sid further revealed that he was the one to introduce Ashi to the reel world. Adding to the same, Ashi also revealed that she's not very sound with updating herself on the social media platforms, but on Sid's advice and pushing, she tries to be active on social media for the sake of her fans who keep urging her to post something about her on the platforms.
Lastly, on being questioned about Ashi whether she's very lazy when it comes to posting or not, Sid replied, "No no she's not lazy no doubt. She's very hardworking....she's a very fast learner. Agar aap isko kuch bologey, toh yeh karti hai....aisa nahi ki haan sunke...kuchh log hote hai na ki advice bhi ley lete hai aur uska kuch karte bhi nahi, yeh advice leti hai toh usko apply bhi karti hai life mein. So it's a very good thing about her!".
Their candid conversation proved that the co-stars share a very amicable terms of communication both on and off-screen and Siddharth really helps Ashi by motivating her to push beyond her inert limits.
