MUMBAI: Actress Shubhangi Atre who is currently seen as Angoori in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, remembers her first onscreen character of Kasturi Chawla from the debut show titled Kasturi. As the show completed 14 years, so has Shubhangi's acting journey. Remembering her experience the actress especially thanks Ekta Kapoor for the opportunity and the break she got.
She says, "Acting was my childhood dream. And I feel Ekta Mam helped me to live the dream. I shall always be thankful to her. Even today many people recognize me as Kasturi. The show helped me to learn and experience shooting. It helped me realise I can act." Shubhangi romanced Karan Patel on the show. "Everyone was like a family. We collected many memories from the show. Now when I'm quarantined and at home, I enjoyed watching the episodes. They still are iconic and evergreen for me."

Shubhangi who recently tested positive for COVID-19 is under self-isolation and recovering, "I miss my energy level. The virus has made me weak. I'm still recovering." Shubhangi has been playing the role of Angoori Bhabhi since 2016 after the controversial exit of Shilpa Shinde. Shilpa became a household name after her portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi but due to a massive fallout with the producers of the show, she quit abruptly. Shubhangi has since then successfully played the role has been part of the Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai family.
