Avinash Sachdev who is playing the male lead in the soon to launch show Chhoti Bahu was finalised for the role of Alekh in Bidaai. He could have been in Angad’s shoes if Balaji had no objection to it.
Avinash was seen in a negative role in Balaji’s Khwaish . Though the show had gone off air, other production houses wanted to sign him up as they were afraid that casting him would call for legal complications. Later, he was offered a double role in Balaji’s Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil . His character in that show has ended recently as he wanted more time to do Chhoti Bahu.
Avinash says, “I had signed Bidaai but could not do it as Bidaai’s production house wanted him to get an NOC from Balaji. But now they have given me an NOC so that I can act in Chhoti Bahu . Balaji has always been nice to me and there was never any trouble between us.”
The charming actor does not have any regret of not being able to act in Bidaai as he is happy to have bagged a good role in Chhoti Bahu . And the fact that Balaji has no abjection with Avinash acting in Chhoti Bahu sure adds to his excitement of doing this show.
See it pays to be in the good books of Madame Ekta Kapoor!
