Popular actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya opened up on how his mother's demise has left him heartbroken.

MUMBAI: Actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya's performance has been par excellence in his last projects. Be it Lal Bazaar, Undekhi or Gone Game, Dibyendu's performance has always won the critics.

For some actors, dedication is what defines them and one such name is actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya who has always recived rave reviews for his characters from Chunni lal in Dev D to DSP Ghosh in Undekhi.

The actor who has a lot of performance driven roles to his credit is not only a versatile artist but a through professional at that and we have more reasons to say that.

Recently it was reported that the actor shot for Sony LIV's Undekhi with a fractured hand, yet again the actor has proved his dedication for his craft.

The actor who is currently away shooting for a project in Turkey couldn't reach for last rites of his mother because he was in middle of an intensive shoot schedule.

We contacted Dibyendu to know more about it, the actor said, ''My whole existence revolves around my mother and her sacrifices for me. She was always so supportive towards whatever I wanted to do..she gave me a free-hand to pursue my dreams..I always had her back no matter what my decisions were. I feel extremely lucky to have her as my mother, as she was no ordinary woman..she radiated kindness.

He adds, ''It has been the toughest phase of my life to deal with the loss of my mother and also to give 100 percent to my work, but as they say is the harsh truth: The show must go on. ''

The actor further said, '' I felt deeply saddened that my old father and sister had to go through it without me being there to support them. You can have a replacement any technician but an actor who has shot half of the scenes cannot be replaced at the last moment, we have certain responsibilities as an actor which we have to adhere by.''

He continues, ''I so much wish that I was shooting in India during the last days of my mother, it will always be a painful instance for me.''

We wish courage to the family, and peace to the departed soul.
