Nawazuddin to play money laundering tycoon in Black Currency

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who started his film career in 1999 with Shool and has done around 30 films till now including <em>Kahaani, Gangs of Wasseypur </em> and <em>Talaash, </em> is churning stellar performances one after another. With him getting widely appreciated in his latest release <em>Talaash</em>, it's not a surprise that his bag is full with challenging roles. While on one hand, he has Ketan Mehta's Mountain Man, on the other he has been signed up for <em>Black Currency</em>.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who started his film career in 1999 with Shool and has done around 30 films till now including Kahaani, Gangs of Wasseypur and Talaash, is churning stellar performances one after another. With him getting widely appreciated in his latest release Talaash, it's not a surprise that his bag is full with challenging roles. While on one hand, he has Ketan Mehta's Mountain Man, on the other he has been signed up for Black Currency. In this film, Nawazuddin will be playing the role of Hassan Ali Khan, the Indian businessman who's alleged to have stashed away billions in Swiss accounts. The film, which is being directed by Sanjay Sharma, will have Nawazuddin's character based on the money laundering tycoon. Describing his hi-fi role, that actor said that unlike his earlier roles, he will be seen in expensive Savile Row suits traveling in his private jet, getting off choppers for high level meetings on exotic islands and will be surrounded by glamorous women. The actor, who treats Amitabh Bachchan as his role model feels that Black Currency is the closest he has come to his idol’s role in Trishul.
