MUMBAI: Chandni Bhagwanani, who was last seen in the TV show Sanjivani, is back on television after a gap of almost a year.
The actress will be entering Imlie, wherein she will be playing the role of Pallavi. She will be the love interest of Nishant, who plays lead actor Gashmeer Mahajani's cousin in the show. Nishant's role is essayed by actor Arham Abbasi.
In the current track, Imlie (Sumbul Touqeer) finds out that Nishant is unwell, and soon Pallavi will also get to know about his illness. In the past, Pallavi and Nishant had grown apart due to personal differences. Imlie will be seen trying her best to resolve the conflict between Pallavi and Nishant.
Talking about her character, Chandni says, "I am playing the role of Nishant's girlfriend. Pallavi is a happy-go-lucky girl and will come back in his life. She will be respectful towards Nishant's family members and get along well with them.”.

Chandni had moved to Hyderabad a couple of months ago after bagging two South films. Incidentally, the entire team of Imlie had also moved to Hyderabad after restrictions were imposed in Maharashtra.
Talking about the happy coincidence, she said, “I have been offered a couple of projects in South cinema, but due to the pandemic, shooting hasn't commenced yet. I am glad I bagged this role in Imlie because they are shooting in Hyderabad and I can easily shoot here.”.
The actress added that she is extra cautious about shooting amid the pandemic. “Shooting these days is not that easy, but since I am an actor, I have to take the risk. I've been promised that all safety measures would be in place and that social distancing would be practised. In fact, just today, I underwent a COVID-19 test. Once I get my report, I will begin shooting for the show.”, she concluded.
