MUMBAI: Anupamaa is a Hindi TV show which airs on Star Plus and is being extremely liked and loved by it's audience from all age groups throughout this country. This show is popularly known for breaking important records of the other former popular Hindi TV shows by becoming the 'most-watched' show on television. Consequently, it even tops the TRP chart and is going steady in the first position for over weeks now, despite dropping down to number four a few weeks back, only to pop back again.
Through it's story's plot on the daily struggles of a generic Indian housewife from a middle-class Indian family, this show is pinching hard on it's viewers emotions, by the virtue of which so many Indians are relating to the real circumstances that are being showcased on the show. The show's realistic approach with minimal exaggerated drama and every single cast member's on-point emotional display and acting chops are helping the show garner immense appraisals and appreciation from it's audience.
Produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi, this show premiered on 13 July 2020, on the popular Hindi network of Star Plus. It stars telly actress Rupali Ganguly in it's titular role, while other notable actors like Sudhanshu Pandey (as Vanraj Shah - Anupamaa's husband), Muskan Bamne (Anupamaa's daughter Paakhi), Paras Kalnawat (Anupamaa's younger son Samar), Aashish Mehrotra (Anupamaa's elder son Paritosh), Nidhi Shah (Paritosh's wife Kinjal), Anagha Bhosale (Samar's love interest), Tassnim Sheikh (as Kinjal's mother Rakhi), Alpana Buch (Anupama's mother-in-law), Arvind Vaidya (Anupamaa's father-in-law), amongst others play the other important characters of the show.

Amid all these, the one character who is the poignant antagonist of the show by giving out all the necessary negative vibes on-screen is actress-model Madalsa Sharma's character of Kavya. She is the real vamp of the show by portraying the role of Anupamaa's husband Vanraj's illicit girlfriend, on who's demand the show's plot showcased the eventual divorce of Anupamaa with Vanraj.
This incident was right away followed by Kavya's wedding with Vanraj. However, it's shown that Kavya is actually a greedy lady, who has no genuine feelings for anybody in the Shah family (and not even for Vanraj) and has undergone this marriage only to dominate over the Shah family. While Vanraj is unaware of her true intentions, his family can realise his blunder and they still consider Anupamaa (actress Rupali) as their only daughter-in-law.
Now, overlooking the character-sketch of Kavya, we do also observe her as one of the show's leading style-icons by flaunting various types of hairstyles, outfits and accessories. As she portrays the role of a working lady, her stylists ace to maintain her look fresh, contemporary, chic and innovative almost each and everyday, even when she endorses ethnic garments. Despite her negative vibes, her character is visually very attractive which gives off a powerful aura at the first glance. Her style-statements also reflects the actress' versatility.
