The story of the movie Sherni is set in a village where the operation of tigress hunt is undertaken by the forest department, and during this operation is led by officer Vidya played by Vidya Balan. And in this process of tiger hunt what political and social challenges Vidya has to face is something amazingly shown in the movie.
The screenplay of the movie is pretty decent and it will draw your attention right from the first scene, also the direction given by Amit Masurkar is brilliant and location covered are amazing.
Talking about the performances, no doubt it is always a treat to watch actress Vidya Balan doing different roles, and she had impressed in this one also. Special mention for Brijendra Kala who manages to steal every scene in which he was there. Other cast like Mukul Chadda, Vijay Raj, Neeraj Kabi, Sharat Saxena were decent on their part.

Positive points of the movie can be, the unique and different concept, and storytelling with the context of tiger search and also having said that how can we forget the silent message given from the movie. Also the performances of all the actors specially Vidya Balan and Brijendra Kala is a treat to watch.
The negative points of the movie can be, the screenplay of the movie is very decent, after taking an interesting start the screenplay looks dragged and stretched in between.
Well, having pointed out the positives and the negatives overall Sherni is a must watch for its silent message given out to the society.
Team TellyChakkar goes with 3/5 for Sherni.
