Versatile actress Shilpa Tulaskar joined Triangle Films Company’s successful show on Life OK, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev midway and started essaying the character of Maina. The actress who has many challenging roles to her credit had kept away from mythological and period drama shows till recently. After being an integral part of Veer Shivaji on Colors, she is now seen in the Life OK mythological.
Tellychakkar.com decided to ask her the reason for accepting the role of Maina and she said, “As a person the character of Maina is very unreal to me. But as an actor it is a delight playing the role. It was a special feeling when I accepted this role, as the character was essayed by someone else initially. When Producer and Director Nikhil Sinha narrated the character to me, I loved it and accepted it. I feel great working with the team of Mahadev, and the sets are awesome.”
Shilpa who shares more of screen space with Sonarika Bhadoria (Parvati) and Mohit Raina (Mahadev) says, “Mohit is a great choice for the character; as a person he is very much reserved. Sonarika listens to the scenes very carefully and then performs accordingly.”
For Shilpa, the experience of being part of the Mahadev team is a complete learning process. “There is a divine connection when we shoot on the sets of Mahadev. I could personally feel it while shooting one particular scene with Mohit.”
Even though her character has been on and off, Shilpa avers, “I am lucky and fortunate that I got to play this character. It is my responsibility to be available for shoot whenever my character is required. I am just a call away from reporting to shoot.”
Apart from Mahadev, Shilpa is gearing up for her next Marathi film wherein she plays a pivotal role.
Great going, Shilpa.
