After her last film Dirty Picture turned out to be a smash hit, a gung ho Ekta Kapoor is bent on churning out films in plenty. So much so that Balaji Motion Pictures has chalked out as many as six films like <em>Ek Thi Daayan, Shootout At Wadala, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi, Lootera, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again</em> and <em>Ragini MMS 2<em> to be released next year.
Ekta has recently bagged the Hindi remake rights of the Telugu film <em>Kandireega</em> that was immensely successful. The film starred Ram, Hansika and Aksha among others.

Ekta has recently bagged the Hindi remake rights of the Telugu film Kandireega that was immensely successful. The film starred Ram, Hansika and Aksha among others.
Confirming the same, producer Bellamkonda Suresh said that Ekta has bought the Hindi remaking rights of the film. But when asked about the cast that goes into this Hindi version, Bellamkonda showed his ignorance said about the whole thing saying that he had no idea whatsoever.
So much was the film appreciated that this film was also made in Bengali and titled Paglu 2.
