MUMBAI: Actress Triptii Dimri made her debut in 2017 with the film Poster Boys and then went on to work in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Laila Majnu’ opposition Avinash Tiwary. She rose to fame in 2020 with her lead performance in the critically acclaimed web film, ‘Bulbbul’.
While ‘Bulbbul’ was a peak for her career, Triptii shares how she had to wait for two long years to get work after ‘Laila Majnu’. She expresses “It was demotivating... For how long can you keep your hopes high? You can do that for one or two months and then you get tired. I waited for good scripts to come my way, but it wasn’t happening. So that was the most difficult phase, because I would get up every day wondering what's next, especially when all my friends were working. It was too stressful for me.”

With free time in her hand, Triptii revealed that she enrolled herself in acting classes, which has helped her boost her acting skills.
She also shares that many people asked her to stay away from OTT after doing two feature films back-to-back, however, she decided to do what she feels was right is thankful for not following their suggestions. She says- “My digital film has changed my life completely, not just professionally, but personally, too. It is through this project that I learnt to grasp a character’s graph. It made me quite confident as a person and as an actor.”
Triptii also adds that luck has played a major role in her Bollywood work journey. The actress is now handled by Karan Johar’s talent company and has an untitled project underway.
She will be next seen in 'Qala', opposite Irrfan Khan's son Babil in his acting debut. The Netflix film is produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother and Karnesh Ssharma’s.
