MUMBAI: Education plays a vital role in everyone’s life.
It nurtures a person holistically and gives one knowledge, perspective and sensibility to find one's way around in the world. But have you ever wondered how educated our celebrities are? While a lot of them have earned degrees in various fields including arts and economics, some others did not complete graduation since they were destined to be in the industry and so dropped out and pursued something they were passionate about.
Let’s take a look at the educational qualifications of some of the celebrity couples.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh: Deepika completed her schooling at Bangalore's Sophia High School and her pre-university at Mount Carmel College. Later, she enrolled at the Indira Gandhi National Open University for a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology but dropped out due to her modelling career. Ranveer studied at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. Later, he went to the United States where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli: Raised in Bangalore, Anushka received education at the Army School there and got a degree in arts from Mount Carmel College. Virat started his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School. In 1998, Virat, 9, had joined the West Delhi Cricket Academy. In ninth grade, Virat shifted to Saviour Convent in Paschim Vihar to help his cricket practice. Virat concentrated on cricket after he completed his schooling.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas: Due to Priyanka’s parents' professions as military physicians, the family was posted in a number of places across India. Among the schools she attended were La Martiniere Girls' School in Lucknow and St. Maria Goretti College in Bareilly. At 13, Priyanka moved to the United States to study and attended schools in Newton, Massachusetts, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Before these, she went to a school in Queens, New York, as her aunt's family also moved frequently. In 2000, Priyanka won the Miss World pageant and even though she had enrolled herself in college, she dropped out after winning due to her professional commitments. The third of the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas was raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey and homeschooled by his mother. His career began very early as he began performing on Broadway at the age of seven. And of course, there was no stopping him after that.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan: Saif studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh. At the age of nine, he was sent to Lockers Park School in Hertfordshire. Later, he graduated from Winchester College. After Welham, Kareena studied commerce for two years at Mithibai College and then registered for a three-month summer course in microcomputers at Harvard Summer School in the United States. She later enrolled at the Government Law College, Mumbai. However, after completing her first year, she dropped out to pursue a career in acting.
