MUMBAI: 13 years back then, ever since Ekta Kapoor's popular show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii starring Sakshi Tanwar, Aruna Irani, Ali Asgar went off air. The serial went on air for many years. This particular show got a lot of love and attention from the audience, it is still remembered and praised. The daily soap used to be telecasted on the Star Plus channel. It is considered one of the most popular shows in the history of Indian Television. Sakshi Tanwar, Kiran Karmarkar, Ali Asgar, Aruna Irani were the lead characters in the story plot. The whole vibe and story of the show kept the viewers engaged. It was a family drama show which kept on going for 8 long years.

There were a few Indian television shows in the early 2000s that small screen viewers loved to bits and binge-watched even the re-runs. People used to watch the show on repeat telecasts and not miss any single episode. Every evening as soon as the clock ticked to 7:30, people would sit in front of their TV screens with their families and not lose sight until probably 10 at night. Watching the serial was a habit then. One such show that enjoyed a massive fan following in the Indian households was Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. It was one of the longest-running family dramas that successfully stayed on the air for 8 years starting from 2000 to 2008.

It's been 13 years since Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii went off-air but it's still missed by many. Ask some of the Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii fans and they would vouch to watch an episode of Kahaani over any of the recent sitcoms. That was the effect and influence of Kahaani. It nearly changed the evolution of Indian daily soap patterns. It got many families together to sit together and watch the daily soap.

The show explored the worlds of Parvati played by the beautiful Sakshi Tanwar, living in a Marwadi joint family where Parvati was portrayed as an ideal daughter-in-law of the Agarwal family. The show had Ali Asgar who played the role of Kamal Agarwal, Anup Soni who played the role of Suyash Mehra, Shweta Kawatra/ Achint Kaur who played the role of Pallavi Agarwal as the major supporting cast. The whole star cast was the cherry on the cake to the show. They pulled off the show for 8 years.

Currently, the cast members of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki are doing well in their own amazing ways. Sakshi also made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan in Dangal movie which emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema. Here are the pics,
