Wasn't Krishna Gokani informed about 'Bhakti's death?

Krishna Gokani and Madhav Deochake
The death of the popular character of Bhakti (Krishna Gokani) and replacement of actor Madhav Deochake who played Bhakti’s husband in Hamari Devrani came in as a rude shock to its loyal viewers. Sources from the show suggested it was the channel‘s strategy to help boost the TRPs which have been on a decline for some time. The production house and the channel decided to take a leap of 17 years and bury the character of Bhakti. But an insider from the show reveals that apparently the channel wasn’t happy with actress Krishna Gokani for no fault of hers and both the lead actors weren’t kept in the loop regarding the leap. A reliable source from the sets says, “Madhav quit the show as he wasn’t too keen on playing a father and the actors weren’t even prepared for the leap for they weren’t informed of the same. Krishna wasn’t informed till the last hour and her character was bumped off without prior notice. The girl apparently was suffering from a back problem for quite some time now and she informed the production house of it last December. She continued shooting ignoring her health issues. Her condition deteriorated and she fell ill suffering from an acute back pain in February after which her doctor advised her complete bed rest. But the production house requested her to shoot at her convenience as she was the lead face of the show and there was no chance the story could move ahead if she went missing. She obliged and resumed shooting. For two months she shot in pain and as shown in the show, she was always shown either seated or lying down as she could barely walk and stand on her own. For the rest of the scenes, we used her body double. So bad was her condition that her mother used to help her change her clothes. She shot her last episode on April 27. We aren’t aware if she was informed about the decision of bumping her character off but going by the buzz on the sets she wasn’t told about it. It seems she didn’t even know about the leap. In any case, an artist has to serve a month’s notice period when a termination becomes inevitable but she wasn’t even allowed to serve her notice period.” Krishna refused to comment and said, “I am what I am today all because of the character Bhakti and the character will always remain close to my heart.” Madhav however says, “I wasn’t keen on playing a father to a 17 year old daughter post the leap so I decided to quit.”
