Even the Gods can’t resist temptations or what else can justify the split of actors Yashodhan Rana and Gayatri Shastri who played the mythical Shiva- Parvati in Doordarshan’s extremely popular Om Namah Shivay. The two after falling in love instantly had tied the knot much against the wishes of their respective families. Life was a bed of roses for this couple till Yashodhan allegedly started dating another girl. Rana and Shastri officially split last month. A source informs, “Gayatri and Yashodhan got married after falling in love with each other eight years ago. They chose to go ahead and sanctify his relationship against the wishes of their respective families. The marital bliss lasted for eight years and the duo headed for a divorce which was accepted on April 30. Rana got involved with another actress who caused the split.” Confirming the news Rana says, “Yes, we have split officially. I would not like to state the reason but we have been staying apart for quite some time now. We got married in 2001 and her work kept her away from Mumbai as she was acting down south, which kept us apart.” However, he refuted the involvement of a third party which resulted in the split. He says, “It’s all false. I am not seeing any girl.” Gayatri Shastri remained unavailable.
