MUMBAI: Siddharth Malhotra is getting amazing reviews for his recently released movie Shershaah. The movie is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra and is getting appreciated by fans and critics all over. No doubt what Sidharth did in the movie is commendable, but do you know that much before Sidharth Malhotra, Abhishek Bachchan played this character on screen?
Yes, you heard right. Here is some trivia for all you Sidharth Malhotra and Abhishek Bachchan fans. Abhishek played Vikram Batra in 2003 in the movie LOC: Kargil. This war film was directed by one of the finest directors of Bollywood, J.P. Dutta, who is known for Border and Paltan.

LOC: Kargil features an ensemble cast, which includes Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Amit Behl, Sharad Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, and others. LOC Kargil mainly focuses on the entire Kargil War; on the other hand Shershaah mainly focuses on the late Captain Vikram Batra from his first posting in the army to his death in the Kargil War.
Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Shershah was produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash entertainment. The movie premiered on Amazon prime on 12th August 2021.
