MUMBAI: A show so largely loved by the viewers, Sony Entertainment Television’s Punyashlok Ahilyabai has kept the viewers glued to their screens as it narrates the epic life story of one of the most legendary women of the Indian history – Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. Recently, the show made headlines as it took a seven year leap and a new chapter was unfolded –‘The Yuva Adhyay’. Popular actors Aetashaa Sansgiri and Gaurav Amlani have been roped in to essay the pivotal characters of Ahilyabai and Khanderao Holkar. Being a seasoned actor, Gaurav Amlani has worked in many films, television shows and theatre however, despite his rich work experience, Punyashlok Ahilyabai is his first historical project and the actor is super ecstatic to be doing it.

Sharing more on the same, actor Gaurav Amlani said, “I believe historical genres have a charm like no other. Being an audio-visual medium, it is almost like magic that we can literally peep into the way life was lived centuries ago. You pick anything to watch in this genre and it is like buying a ticket to peep in to that world! So, as an actor getting this opportunity to essay the role of such a complex personality like Khanderao Holkar is a blessing. From the way of dressing & lifestyle to understanding the internal and external conflicts of that time is like a crazy time-travel experience for me.”

In the current track of the show, the viewers can witness the much awaited homecoming of Khanderao Holkar and how that will completely change the dynamics in the Holkar family.

Witness Gaurav Amlani as Khanderao Holkar in Punyashlok Ahilyabai, every Monday to Friday at 7:30pm only on Sony Entertainment Television
