MUMBAI: Colors is coming back with the second season of one of the most adored shows, Thapki Pyaar Ki. Starring Jaya Bhattacharya, Jigyasa Singh and Akash Ahuja in the lead roles. The show is all set to go on air tonight.

We got in touch with the handsome Akash Ahuja and asked him some fun questions regarding the show and more, here's what he has to say:
The first season has already been a massive hit and you will be essaying the lead as Purab in the second one, how did you bag the role?
It feels good, that the show has already been followed by the audience. They have garnered soo much love in the past and I hope I will be able to receive the same love with the second season. Thapki 2 is absolutely different from the first season. The characters and storyline are different, previously Thapki was very underconfident, now she still stammers but is more confident. The storyline is based on music, it will be a delight for music lovers. I have not seen the first season so I don't know much about its storyline before. I was offered the role of Purab after the audition and I was confident about it, that's how things went ahead and we are here.
The show will see an underlying tiff between Veena Devi and you, tell us about your off-screen bond
It is a completely opposite bond offscreen, we are all like a family. Jaya Ma'am and I are Virgos, our birthdays are just a week apart from each other. That way we both understand each other. She has been very warm and kind. She is a very senior actor but you don't see that baggage of seniority when you meet her and yes it is good to be around her, Jigyasa and my other costars in the show.
Talking about your hobbies, what has been your utmost favourite?
It has been more than 10 years, I sleep with my guitar. I only play for myself, very rarely do I play for an audience and I make music. During the last lockdown I got a chance to compose music and write a song, it is coming out and taking good shape so I hoping that people like it as well.
Tell us something about your character?
Purab owns the music label in the show, but he is very strict at work and there is a lot of music between all the three characters, Thapki, Purab and Veena Devi. This is surely going to be a musical treat for the fan.
