Star Plus’ Mujhse Kuchh Kehti… Yeh Khamoshiyaan (Trilogy Krikos and Thought Train Entertainment) looks as though it has lost the plot. Well, after roping in a popular face that of the stature of Mohit Sehgal, the actor has been barely used. And when the viewers thought the love story of Siddharth (Mohit Sehgal) and Gauri (Mrunal Thakur) was to be taken to the next level, that of marriage, the creative team has in fact bowled a bouncer.
Tellychakkar.com has already reported about the fact that it will not be Sid, but Garv (Manit Joura) who will be ending up marrying Gauri in the episodes to come. Well, with this news coming out, Mohit Sehgal fans would have been wondering what the creative team have in store for the character of Sid.
Aah!! We now hear that huge drama awaits viewers as Sid will go missing just before the wedding. And it will be Garv who will win this battle of ‘Who gets the girl’…
Having said this, the ratings of Khamoshiyaan has not gained a major lift (1.3 as per Week 3 ratings released today, 23 January 2013) even with the Makar Sankranti special being aired last week. Also, the content which initially seemed to have a lot of promise has deteriorated now with many illogical tracks being introduced. The sudden change in behaviour of Garv, from being a beautifully etched character to an obsessive lover for no reason has apparently not gone down well with the masses. Of course, Mohit Sehgal fans are in for a major dejection as the track progresses, with the story moving towards the wedding of Garv and Gauri. We also hear that many new characters are on the verge of being introduced, and that will comprise of Garv’s family.
With all the new twists and turns, where is the story of Khamoshiyaan headed to? As reported earlier, the show has already been placed under a scanner and the channel has withdrawn complete creative support.
We tried getting an answer from Producer Sai Deodhar, but could not get through to her.
As the plot thickens in Khamoshiyaan, the future of the show in terms of creativity indeed looks bleak.
