MUMBAI: Balika Vadhu went on to become a cult show on television.
The Colors’ show had a massive fan following and featured late actors Sidharth Shukla and Pratyusha Banerjee in the lead roles. The show is back with season 2, and this time, Randeep Rai, Samridh Bawa, and Shivangi Joshi will be seen in the story post the leap.
In the current track, Anandi is forced to marry Jigar wherein Jigar has planned to consummate with her on their wedding night. Anandi wants to study further, but Jigar is against this. And this is when the evil Jigar puts forth a filthy condition and shows a cheap nightdress to Anandi. He tells her that if she will make him happy and satisfied on their first night, then he will let her study.
The upcoming track of Colors TV serial Balika Vadhu 2 will showcase interesting twists and turns.
As we have seen earlier in the show, Anandi never really put sindoor or wore a mangalsutra.
However, on Anandi's 18th birthday, Maadi Bua and Jigar force Anandi to adorn sindoor and wear a mangalsutra.
Maadi Bua wants to dress up Anandi like a newly-wed bride for Jigar.
Moreover, in a bizarre twist, Jigar thinks his birthday gift for Anandi will be them consummating their marriage.
After Anandi's birthday celebration, Jigar takes Anandi with the intention of getting intimate with her, which makes Anandi really uncomfortable. Anandi takes a brave step where she pushes Jigar away and runs from the house.
On the way, she stumbles in front of Anand's car where she almosts has a near-death experience. Anand is shell-shocked to see Anandi in sindoor and mangalsutra. Anand finally learns the truth that Anandi is married to Jigar. He looks heartbroken.
