Adhwik Mahajan of Ram Gopal Verma's 'Contract' to play the main lead in Colors' next?

Remember Adhwik Mahajan, the lead of Ram Gopal Verma’s movie ‘Contract’ released in the year 2008? Well, this young talent will apparently enter the television scenario with Colors’ upcoming fiction show. If sources are to be believed, Adhwik Mahajan might in all probability be roped in as the lead face in Writer turned Producer Damini Shetty’s (Mystic Productions) and Colosceum Productions’ show for Colors, tentatively titled Sanjha Chulha. The show which is set against the backdrop of Punjab and will highlight the rustic and unique flavour of Punjab, will take the 10.30 pm slot with Balaji Telefilms’ Parichay – Nayee Zindagi Ke Sapno Ka going off air. The makers and the channel wanted an apt face to suit the Punjabi munda role and Adhwik might walk away with the prized role, is what our sources say. A new girl from Chandigarh, Shefali has been offered the role of the female lead. It has been reported by a section of media that veteran actress Rita Bhaduri will play a pivotal role. We tried contacting Producer Damini Shetty several times, but could not get through to her. We also sent a text message to Prashant Bhatt, Fiction Head, Colors but did not get any revert.
