MUMBAI : Richa Chadha in this exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com talks about her upcoming web series The Great Indian Murder. The actress speaks about the reaction she got from beau Ali Fazal for the trailer, the roles which she liked of other actors, and her experience of working with director Tigmanshu Dhulia.
Tell us, what was Ali Fazal's reaction after watching the trailer
Ali Fazal saw the trailer of The Great Indian Murder when he was still in Saudi. He loved the trailer and said that I am looking so good. On top of that, he just loves Tigmanshu Dhulia's work. He is more interested in knowing what Tigmanshu has created than seeing me in the web series.
How do you see the competition and challenges in today's scenario?
Competition is like torture because there is really no competition. I can’t do what Pratik does and Pratik can’t do, what I am doing as an actor. In the sense everybody is doing everything, there are so many roles available for all. I believe to choose the role for my own satisfaction and not to please anyone.
Any role which you like of other actors and wish to be part of?
There are lot of characters which I want to do. If I say without arrogance that I would have done much better than that actor. I won't take the names of any actors because my intention is not that. We are not from the industry, so we are hungry to get all types of characters. Our preparation for the character is different, we want to enjoy the process. So there are many roles which I wanted to do. I am also fond of some actors, so I look forward to what they do. I am very happy for Shahana Goswami is back in India and will be working again. She is a terrific actress.
How was your experience of working with director Tigmanshu Dhulia?
He is actually very sharp like Kishore Kumar didn't learn music formally but he knew everything about singing. Like that Tigmanshu Dhulia is a cinema man he knows writing, he knows acting, and he knows performance, so for me, he is a cinema man. So when the director is so knowledgeable then you get to learn so many things from him. In my case, one false note, and he will cut my scene and make me do that scene again. He is also very mysterious and will make you think what we have done is right or wrong.
