MUMBAI: Sony TV’s new show named Jagannath Aur Purvi Ki Dosti Anokhi is based on an old couple Jagannath and Kusum Mishra and a girl named Purvi Singh.

Currently, Jagannath saves Purvi and brings her to his house.
But Jagannath and Kusum don’t know how to tell Purvi to leave because they cannot afford her to stay.
Meanwhile, Purvi's boyfriend, Babu comes searching for her but at the same time, the goons also reach there looking for Babu.
Later, a huge ruckus takes place but the neighbors defend Jagannath and shoves the goons away.
Babu assures Purvi to get married but asks for some time.
Further ahead, as planned, Purvi demands to stay at Jagannath's house for some more days.
This leaves Jagannath and Kusum in a fix as they are surviving on minimal pension.
