MUMBAI: Director Deepak Pandey in this exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com talks about his web series Mombian – Gul & Sakshi Ki Pyaaari Si Love Story. He then speaks about the challenges, his take on bold scenes, and the actors with whom he wants to work.

The story is about two girls who are in a relationship and they want to have a baby. How they struggle to have a baby is all that you will find in Mombian – Gul & Sakshi Ki Pyaaari Si Love Story. I choose this project because the LGBT community has been not accepted by society yet. When we talk about the LGBT community, people have lots of questions in their minds. Till today, we accept delivering the baby in a natural way. But what if two girls are in a relationship and want to have a baby. This was the main thing that inspired me to choose the project. So through this web series, we want the audience to remove the taboo that gender doesn’t define with whom you fall in love.
Deepak Pandey on Challenges he faced while shooting the web series
Firstly finding an actor for such content is very difficult. People were not believing that a film can be made on the LGBT community where a love story between two women can be shown. So the biggest task for me was to convince the actor about the film and their part in it.
Deepak Pandey on the actors he wishes to work with?
I want to do a movie in which I want to cast Amitabh Bachchan. I have been trying to approach him for a long. But I think I have to do something big so that he will notice me and say yes to work with me.
Deepak Pandey on showing the bold scenes on OTT platforms
For me, showing bold scenes is not at all important. If your story is strong then there is no need to show bold scenes. But if your story demands to have bold scenes and definitely one should create it. It is very important that scenes have to be part of the series. It is not that bold scenes are the whole story of the web series.
