MUMBAI:Sony TV’s new show named Jagannath Aur Purvi Ki Dosti Anokhi is based on an old couple Jagannath and Kusum Mishra and a girl named Purvi Singh.

Earlier we see that Purvi is staying at Jagannath's house by lying to them.
She makes up an excuse that because she failed in exams she ran away from her house.
But the truth is, she is planning to elope with Babu and Jagannath is unaware of this.
Babu's parents are against this marriage and thus Purvi decides to elope and get married.
Her parents circulated a poster with her photo which reached Jagannath.
The truth about Purvi leaves Jagannath and Kusum shocked.
Jagannath fights with Kusum for trusting that girl and sheltering her in their house.
Moreover, Jagannath warns Kusum that the goons who came to their door might come again ruining his reputation.
