MUMBAI: Sony TV’s new show named Jagannath Aur Purvi Ki Dosti Anokhi is based on an old couple Jagannath and Kusum Mishra and a girl named Purvi Singh.

Jagannath is aware of Purvi's truth and informs her parents about her.
Shockingly, as her parents arrive, they start beating and cursing her for ruining their name.
Further, they forcibly drag Purvi to take her back home while she resists.
This makes Jagannath restless and he finally intervenes, stopping her parents.
Jagannath tries to make them behave patiently with Purvi and take her opinion as she is an adult.
Sadly, they refuse to budge and warn Jagannath to stay away from the matter.
Now seeing Purvi's condition, he recalls his daughter and decides to protect her.
Moreover, Jagannath threatens Purvi's family to call the police.
Hearing this, her parents give up on her and declare her dead.
This leaves Purvi broken and Jagannath and Kusum are shocked.
