It’s not easy for everyone to shed superhits or blockbuster like but there are few who make it look like an easy job.
While superstars like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh have achieved several milestones at the ticket windows, there is an actor who featured in two Rs 300 crore blockbusters of 2018. Yes, in fact, he is the only actor to star in 2 movies, which hit triple century in the same year. We are talking about Jim Sarbh.
Yes the talented and versatile actor featured in two box office winners of 2018, Sanju (Rs 342.53 crore) and Padmaavat (Rs 302 crore). While in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, he portrayed the role of a drug peddler Zubin Mistry, in Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone's magnum opus, the actor played the character of Malik Kafur.
Jim received appreciation for both of his characters from the audience as well as from industry experts. In fact, he was also nominated in the category of Filmfare Best Supporting award for his impeccable performance in Padmaavat.
On the professional front, Jim Sarbh was recently featured in Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, which also featured Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Seema Pahwa and others. It marked the second collaboration between Jim and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Padmaavaat.
Jim rose to fame after he received lots of appreciation from the audience for his performance in the film Neerja (2016), starring Sonam Kapoor. He won several awards for this film.
