MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor's reality show titled “Lock Upp,” where 17 contestants will be locked in jail, play the game, and fight for getting bail to survive. It was launched on MX Player and Alt Balaji. The audience has given it a thumbs-up. Kangana Ranaut will be making her OTT debut with the show as the host where she will be guiding the contestants.
Now, after a task in the show, it is announced that Karanvir’s blue team gets access to a private bathroom area. However, while the blue team will have full access, if anyone from the orange team gets to use it, both the teams will face punishment.
Orange team decides to break the rule. Payal Rohatgi and Nisha Rawal plan to get into the bathroom. Initially, just to get an idea about the security of the bathroom, orange team decides to send Anjali in front of both the team. They learn that the door is digitally locked and will only give access to blue jersey wearing members. Anjali was wearing orange pants and a blue shirt and was denied access. However, when Munawar from the blue team tries to enter, the door opens.
At night, Payal plans with Siddharth Sharma to create an illusion in front of the camera by wearing blue jerseys. Siddharth sneaks into the blue team’s jail to get hold of the jerseys. Later he sees the cameras following his movement. He then uses a kohl pencil and napkin to discuss their plan.
Lock Upp promises to be an engaging captive reality show with all the ingredients that will keep you glued to your seat. A daring celebrity host, compelling tasks, dramatic fights, and an exciting mix of contestants who will do anything and everything to survive in the show’s jail are the perfect amalgamation of entertainment.
