MUMBAI: Aishwarya Sakhuja is still recalled for her stint in shows like Saas Bina Sasural, Main Naa Bhoolungi, Trideviyaan, and Yeh Hai Chahatein amongst others. Aishwarya is happily married to producer and casting director Rohit Nag.
In a chat with TellyChakkar, Aishwarya speaks about how she and Rohit have made the marriage successful.
You and Rohit have set couple goals. In this era, what do you think is necessary to maintai the marriage and be happy with your partner? “To keep it real is what is necessary. It's not always la la land in marriage. What you see on Instagram is just a part of our lives. We prefer to acknowledge our problems and solve them together. We believe in repairing things instead of giving up, so that's what kept us going. And Rohit has a great sense of humour, so that is an add on!.”
You're one of those actresses who doesn't party that much. You also have selective friends. Any reason? “I don't see my friends as actors or non-actors. I see them as human beings. Thankfully, I have a very small circle in this industry. Even though I'm a part of this industry, it doesn't change the fact that I'm a very private person. So, it's been more than 10 years that we're together, so no success or failure has affected our friendship.
When do you and Rohit plan to extend your family? “We've already done that when we adopted our dog. I feel right now our planet is so populated, so I would rather focus being a better human being. I don't think that I'm ready to nurture a baby as of now. I'm very happy and content with Rohit and my dog.”
